Rating — Vetting — Winning

The mission of the KCRCC is to enhance freedom and prosperity by promoting fiscally and socially conservative candidates who will implement the Idaho Republican Party Platform as policy. The KCRCC recommended candidates have an excellent record of winning elections so earning the KCRCC Recommended Candidate title is a strong indicator of success. Why? It starts with the people.

The official Republican Party in Kootenai County is known as the Kootenai County Republican Central Committee or KCRCC for short. The KCRCC is made up of Precinct Committeemen who are elected every two years by the residents from each of the 73 precincts in Kootenai County. The KCRCC is the only organization whose members are a representative cross-section of our entire county.

This is important because these members vote to decide who will receive the KCRCC recommendation and if a candidate can’t win recommendation it is a good indicator they won’t win the general election. Many candidates who fail to get recommended will drop out of the race rather than put in the effort only to lose.

Having the members vote on recommended candidates is just the last step in a long process involving questionnaires, interviews with two separate sub committees, several meet and greets, background checks and a review of any other pertinent facts. All this information is brought together during a special meeting of the entire KCRCC to review and vote, by secret paper ballots, on who we believe will best serve the community.

Like the citizens they represent, our recommended candidates may not be perfect. One candidate had a DUI from nearly 20 years ago. During his interview we learned that he was driving out of the parking lot of a bar and was immediately pulled over. He was just over the legal limit. He plead guilty, did his punishment, and hasn’t had any issues with the law since. The ability to learn from your mistakes is a valuable quality that is needed in government.

We have all made mistakes, paid the price and been better people as a result. Remember that the only man qualified to throw the first stone didn’t.

Some of the elected officials who earned the KCRCC Recommendation include: Duke Johnson, Steve Matheson, Jennifer Locke, Bruce Mattare, Mike Waggoner, Leslie Duncan, Rachelle Ottosen, Vanessa Robinson, Tim Plass, David Russell, Jeff Tyler, Tom Hanley, Heather Scott, Dale Hawkins, Vito Barbieri, Jordan Redman, Doug "O" Okuniewicz, Joe Alfieri, Elaine Price, Ben Toews, Ron Mendive, Tony Wisniewski, Bela Kovacs, Carl Bjerke, Raul Labrador, and Russ Fulcher, to name just a few.

KCRCC recommended Jeff Tyler, Sandy White and Bruce Mattare serve on the KMPO and led the successful fight to stop the privacy crushing Regional Traffic Management Data Center. David Russell serves with Jeff on the Post Falls Highway District and together they were able to reduce their budget and taxes by 1% for the last 3 years, the ONLY taxing district in Idaho to do so.

Some critics say that the KCRCC shouldn’t make recommendations for “non-partisan” races. Why not? Every other organization exercises their right to endorse candidates. Chamber of Commerce, Realtors Association, Doctors, Firemen, Police and a plethora of Political Action Committees all chime in. Why do some want the KCRCC to lose our freedom of speech? Because they want to silence conservatives and losers have a lot of time on their hands.

Democrats have a hard time getting elected with a D next to their name so it has been the stated policy of the Idaho Democrat party to run stealth Democrat candidates in as many “non-partisan” races as possible.

Democrats team up with fake Republican groups like North Idaho “Republicans” to push liberal candidates that don’t represent our community’s values. Deceptive North Idaho “Republicans” published counterfeits of our recommended candidate list substituting the Democrat endorsed candidates for ours. They were fined by the Secretary of State the maximum allowed by law and were served a Cease and Desist demand letter from the Republican National Headquarters for falsely claiming to be official Republicans. A North Idaho “Republicans” founder publicly supported Biden/Harris. Remember that the Uniparty North Idaho “Republicans” support the same candidates as woke Democrats.

The KCRCC is your official Republican Party in Kootenai County, recognized by the Idaho State Republican Party and the Republican National Committee in Washington D.C. Look for our copyrighted logo for true conservative candidates.

KCRCC members have earned over 20 Idaho Republican Hall of Fame Awards and the KCRCC is widely recognized as the best of Idaho’s 44 county central committees.

The KCRCC only recommends and supports strong conservative candidates who will stand for all your rights, our party platform and the Constitutions of Idaho and The United States.

I have included your Official Kootenai County Republican Party list of recommended candidates for the November 7th election. Please support these candidates to help Make Idaho, and America Great Again!
