Resolution 2025-0716: Resolution in Support of President Trump’s Accomplishments of the Past Seven Months

Whereas, Article XVII, Section 5 of the Idaho Republican Party Platform states “We

oppose supporting illegal aliens by way of free access to housing, healthcare,

technology, voting rights, or an unearned path to amnesty and citizenship, as a reward

for entering the United States illegally, “ and also states in the same article “These illegal

aliens should be deported”;

Whereas, The current Trump administration has been actively detaining and deporting

illegal aliens, with a priority on deporting those with a criminal record;

Whereas, Article XVI, Section 1A of the Idaho Republican Party Platform states “We

support the right of the individual to keep and bear arms, as guaranteed by the Second

Amendment of the U.S. Constitution”;

Whereas, The current Trump administration has put a stop to many Biden-era

restrictions and attacks on gun ownership by law-abiding citizens;

Whereas, Article XIV, Section 4 of the Idaho Republic Party Platform states “We believe

biological gender to be an essential characteristic of a child’s identity and purpose. We

call upon parents, responsible citizens and officers of government to promote measures

that protect and respect the biological gender of children”;

Whereas, The current Trump administration has taken strong measures to eliminate all

federal support and funding for medical and surgical procedures that mutilate children

in an attempt to alter their natural biological gender;

Whereas, Article XIV, Section 3 of the Idaho Republican Party Platform states “We

reaffirm our support for the sanctity of life from conception to natural death, and for the

rights of the unborn child . . . . We oppose all actions which intentionally end an

innocent human life. . . “;

Whereas, President Trump in July of 2025 signed legislation de-funding Planned

Parenthood, the largest practitioner of abortion in the United States;†

Whereas, The Preamble of the Idaho Republican Party Platform states, “We believe

government must exercise fiscal responsibility, and that taxpayers shall allow the

government only the money necessary to provide Constitutionally specified functions;

Whereas, the current Trump administration, by means of the Department of

Government Efficiency and by other means, is eliminating wasteful and harmful

spending by the USAID, the Department of Education, and many other federal

agencies;

Whereas, The Preamble of the Idaho Republican Platform states “We believe in equal

rights, equal justice and equal opportunity for all, regardless of race, creed, sex, age or

disability; and

Whereas, the current Trump administration has already eliminated or is working to

eliminate “DEI” (“Diversity, Equity and Inclusion”) in governmental hiring and

promotion, in the United States military, and in educational institutions which receive

any federal funds, thereby restoring merit, rather than race, gender, or gender identity,

as the dominant criterion for hiring and admissions; therefore be it

Resolved, That the Kootenai County Republican Central committee welcomes,

supports, and endorses these policy initiatives and accomplishments, and pledges its

cooperation and assistance with such efforts in the months and years ahead; and

Resolved, That a copy of this resolution be sent to the White House in Washington,

D.C., to the Office of the Governor of Idaho, to the Office of the Idaho Attorney General,

and to any elected official who requests a copy.
