The Kootenai County Republican Central Committee records its profound sorrow at the passing of Peter Charles Erbland and extends its sincere sympathy to his family and to all who knew, respected, and loved him. This body honors with gratitude Peter's faithful service as Precinct Committeeman for Precinct 420, his distinguished legal career, his contributions to the civic life of North Idaho, and, above all, the character with which he lived and served. We remember Peter as a man who could stand firmly upon principle without ceasing to listen, who could disagree without diminishing another person, and who could bring wisdom, reason, and fairness to difficult conversations.
